For the daylong retreat on ‘Ditthasava: The Pollution of Views’, Tahn Pamutto begins the day by talking about the nature of what a view is and how it becomes a corrupting influence on the mind.
In the afternoon the instructions continue by looking at a few suttas which point to the problem with holding to views: namely, we do so out of attachment to the Five Aggregates and as a result form impressions of things as Permanent, Satisfying, and Personal.
