Online Daylong Retreat – Hirī-Ottappā

Join us in the Upavana Zoom for a daylong meditation retreat on Sunday, Sep 27.  Come for all or part.  The focus of the day will be Hirī and Ottappā.  Translated as Conscience, Prudence, Shame, Moral Dread … these two states are described by the Buddha as ‘Guardians of the World’.  We’ll take a look at some sutta references and take time to contemplate how to make the experience of having a conscience a source of pride and joy in our lives.
